Etasha Society works with youth, adolescents, women from disadvantaged backgrounds to enable them with the skills, confidence, and mindset required for modern-day work environments through providing vocational, placement, and employability skills training & career guidance. The focus is to improve lives and livelihoods while promoting a positive mindset change in the individual and the community for sustained employment and income generation.

Major Interventions:

Vocational Training & Placement Programs: Etasha provides short-duration, industry-relevant skills training in both online and offline modes, achieving a job placement rate of 75 to 80% in organized industries, with ongoing support and engagement through alumni interactions. The Employability Skills Development and Placement (ESDP) program covers soft and core job-linked training skills followed by placement for youth enrolled in trades with employment potential in the manufacturing and service sectors.

Additionally, the Grassroots Entrepreneurship Program (GEP) nurtures budding entrepreneurs through business education, enterprise management training, initial funding assistance, and sustained mentorship for the development and sustainability of their small-scale enterprises. Etasha also cover essential skills such as spoken English, computer literacy, interpersonal communication, and interview techniques, helping to build social confidence and a deeper understanding of the professional environment.

Women Entrepreneurship: Etasha empowers stay-at-home women, who may be illiterate or semi-literate, by guiding them to establish and manage their own income-generating enterprises. Utilizing a structured approach that includes education, skills development, and entrepreneurship, the program employs awareness-building campaigns to educate communities about the significance of women’s empowerment through entrepreneurial activities. Participants receive comprehensive training in life skills, digital literacy, and technical skills specific to their chosen enterprise, along with business management skills like marketing, sales, and operations. Additionally, the program supports women from the initial stages of business idea development to the actual management and scaling of their enterprises, ensuring they have the necessary resources and knowledge to thrive.

Career Guidance & Life Skills Development: It offers a broad array of initiatives targeting life and academic skill enhancement for 8th to 12th graders. Key components include the Life Skills Development and Counselling (LSC), which provides life skills workshops, individual counselling, and a supportive helpline called ‘Keh Daalo’. Etasha collaborates with schools to offer customized remedial education in basic language and numeracy skills, and it provides training in basic computer and internet usage. Additionally, confidence-building workshops foster soft skills like public speaking and problem-solving, and Career Guidance workshops, known as ‘Career Highway’, deliver personalized career planning based on each student's aptitudes and interests.
