Krushi Vikas Va Gramin Prashikshan Sanstha (KVGPS) is a community-based organization driving agricultural and holistic rural development across geographies, it was established for the betterment of rural communities which depend on agriculture and allied activities for their livelihood, approach is culturally sensitive where training local communities in local language is emphasized. KVGPS is affiliated with prestigious institutions for conducting and certifying the training programs.

Ongoing programs include:

KVGPS conducts all trainings inculcated in the actual project plans. It also conducts several Innovative Trainings beneficial for communities based on their needs and necessities, approach is culturally sensitive where training local communities in local language is emphasized. KVGPS is affiliated with prestigious institutions for conducting and certifying the training programs.

Sustainable Management of Natural Resources:

The activities conducted by the NGO under this program are-

  • Improving water availability through upgradation of dilapidated and creation of new water storage structures
  • Undertaking watershed development with a ridge to valley approach
  • Promotion of sustainable agricultural practices, farm ponds and farm-bunding for soil conservation
  • Fodder development, animal health checks and scientific livestock management

Farm Productivity Enhancement:

The activities conducted by the NGO under this program are-

  • Farmers Field Schools and On-field Demonstrations
  • Promotion of climate resilient practices and inputs
  • Crop diversification for increased resilience and production
  • Demonstration and promotion of various water saving methods and technologies
  • Facilitation for setting up organic composting unit for production of various manures
  • Crop intensification through inter-cropping and multi-layer farming
  • Promotion of modern AgTech such as drone spraying, precision farming etc.

Collectivization and Aggregation of Primary Producers:

The activities conducted by the NGO under this program are-

  • Farmers mobilization and collectivization into an economically viable unit.
  • Capacity building and training of BoDs on governance and management, accounting and legal compliances, business planning
  • Demonstrations on best agricultures practices for productivity enhancement
  • Facilitation on value chain and product development, packaging, branding and marketing, convergence and partnerships linkages for increased visibility and revenues
  • Promotion of women led FPOs for women empowerment with a focus on visioning, leadership development and enterprise development

Strengthening Farm and Non-Farm Livelihoods:

The activities conducted by the NGO under this program are-

  • Identification and promotion of micro-enterprises
  • Value chain development and enterprises promotion for farmers and SHGs
  • Enterprise for vulnerable groups such as landless, migrants and women etc.
  • Leveraging digital and financial technologies for effective business operations
  • Facilitate financial and market linkages and convergence of govt. schemes
  • Demonstration and adoption of innovative concepts such as market on wheels, farmers market, etc.

Climate Sustainability- “GreenAct” Initiative:

The activities conducted by the NGO under this program are-

  • Sensitization of various stakeholders regarding climate change and its effects
  • Tree plantation, bio-gas promotion and improved cook stoves
  • Promotion of various renewable energy solutions such as home lights, streetlights, pumps, torchlights etc.

Besides the programs mentioned above, the NGO also has projects supporting and promoting Farmer Producer Organizations, Minor Irrigation, Water Security, etc.
