Srijon Foundation (Artscape) is dedicated to nurturing emotional wellbeing through Expressive Arts Therapy. The belief is that with the right tools and strategies, anyone can reach their highest potential. Their mission is for everyone to achieve mental wellbeing thereby realizing their potential, manage stress, work productively, and build meaningful connections with the community. Expressive Arts Therapy leverages the power of the arts to facilitate self-understanding from a subconscious and intuitive place. Guided by a trained therapist, clients engage their senses and imagination, opening doors to self-exploration, emotional processing, and self-compassion. This therapy supports complex mental health issues with a non- pathologizing, strength-based approach. Major Interventions: Care for Cancer program provides diversional therapy to aid recovery and rehabilitation by emotionally empowering participants. Addressing the anxiety and disruption caused by a cancer diagnosis, this program helps patients, survivors, and caregivers manage distress that can otherwise lead to emotional and psychological challenges. Through expressive arts therapy, including music, movement, art, and meditation, the sessions build emotional awareness, encourage expression, and identify coping mechanisms. Beyond Academics program provides life skills and value education to schoolchildren and young adults, fostering responsible living. By integrating arts into learning, the program enhances creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and social interactions. It encourages children to explore their inner resources, develop their personalities, and grow into confident and empathetic adults. An acquired sense of self aids better integration and performance in personal and professional spaces. Corporate Wellness Program: Workplace stress is a leading cause of mental illness globally, affecting over 25% of employees. Job stress impacts performance, relationships, and overall quality of life which can lead to emotional outbursts, anxiety, and depression. Artscape offers Expressive Arts Therapy sessions using music, movement, meditation, and art—to help employees relax, express emotions, and achieve mental well-being. These sessions promote introspection, improved communication, creativity, and efficiency. Participants leave feeling relaxed, motivated, and positive. |
