Each One Teach One (EOTO) aims at creating opportunities for underprivileged children in India by educating the weaker section of the society. It provides underprivileged children with an opportunity to discover their inbuilt potential, enabling them to take up responsibilities and challenges in life by strengthening their intellectual and emotional capabilities.
Major Interventions:
School Program: EOTO actively collaborates with government schools to bridge educational gaps by providing essential resources and support. This includes supplying teachers, notebooks, and uniforms, and offering remedial coaching for 9th and 10th-grade students. The focus is on English, Mathematics, Marathi, Hindi, Social Studies and Science subjects. They organize extra-curricular activities, annual sports, and cultural programs to foster a well-rounded educational experience. The program also includes health and hygiene sessions, career guidance, counselling, and infrastructure support to create a conducive learning environment. Additionally, computer coaching and library resources are provided to enhance learning opportunities.
Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Program: Focused on building literacy and numeracy skills, this program aims to ensure free and compulsory education until age 14. It involves personalized analysis to address individual learning difficulties, personality development, and value education sessions. To support the holistic development of children, EOTO provides notebooks, uniforms, and nutritious meals.
Vocational Program: EOTO offers training classes at their centres for both women and children. Certified courses in beautician skills, tailoring, and computer skills enhances employability. It also conducts awareness campaigns on education, health, and sanitation, and organizes farewell programs to celebrate the achievements of participants.
