Bhumi is one of India’s leading volunteer-driven NGOs, working to build a better nation through youth-led initiatives. With a vision for sustainable change, Bhumi believes in the power of education, civic engagement, and youth leadership. Its mission is to enable every Indian to volunteer and contribute meaningfully toward an equitable society.

Major Interventions:

Think Green builds environmentally conscious communities through volunteer-led efforts. It promotes ecological awareness and sustainable practices such as tree planting, clean-up drives, waste segregation, and community gardening. It empowers citizens, especially youth, to participate in environmental conservation and climate action.

Ignite Schools provides holistic, after-school education to children from underserved backgrounds. Volunteers teach subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, and life skills using interactive and creative methods. Bhumi strengthens foundational learning while nurturing confidence, leadership, and critical thinking, helping children build academic and life-ready skills.

Civic Initiatives engage volunteers in activities that promote responsible citizenship and community well-being, such as public space clean-ups, awareness campaigns, and social issue-based drives. The program fosters participation and accountability by involving citizens directly to create healthier, inclusive communities.

Ignite Infrastructure transforms under-resourced educational spaces into vibrant, safe, and functional environments. This includes classroom makeovers, sanitation improvements, and child-friendly learning spaces. It aims to provide dignified infrastructure that supports better learning outcomes and well-being.

Bhumi Scholarship supports meritorious students from low-income communities in pursuing higher education. In addition to financial aid, it offers mentorship and skill-building opportunities. The program helps students overcome socio-economic barriers, empowering them to achieve their academic and career goals.
