Jidnyasa works to transform the lives of underprivileged rural children and the often-overlooked migrant children of sugarcane workers by providing access to quality education and supportive learning environments. It aims to nurture curiosity, foster learning, and build resilience in children who face societal and economic challenges that limit their opportunities. Jidnyasa envisions a world where every child has the chance to dream, grow, and thrive beyond their circumstances. The mission is to break the cycle of poverty and marginalisation by empowering children through education, holistic support, and community engagement.
Major Interventions:
Aas – Migrant Children Project focuses on supporting children from migrant sugarcane worker families, who often lack stable access to formal education due to frequent relocation and challenging living conditions. This initiative encourages curiosity and learning through structured activities and tailored educational support that adapt to the needs of these communities. The programme provides a welcoming environment where children can engage in learning and develop foundational skills that strengthen their confidence and academic potential.
Aarambh – Government School Intervention is designed to enhance the quality of basic education in rural government schools. Through targeted interventions, resources, and collaborative efforts with school systems, this initiative aims to strengthen learning outcomes for children attending local schools. Aarambh focuses on creating supportive classroom environments, enriching teaching approaches, and providing additional learning support where needed. The programme encourages meaningful engagement between children and educators to foster sustained academic growth.
Community Engagement and Support Activities: Beyond its core education programmes, Jidnyasa engages with families and local communities to promote a culture of learning and holistic wellbeing. It supports healthy childhood development by creating opportunities for children to access educational resources and nutritious meals. It also encourages community participation in educational initiatives, reinforcing the belief that collective support and involvement are essential to sustainable change.
