Programs
Some of their 2012-13 activities were as follows:
- Education: GJUBBWWC established the first primary residential school in 1993. Today the school provides education to 747 students with 30 students per teacher. The school receives financial assistance from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in New Delhi, as well as individual donations.
- Culture: Their cultural wing, Surangana Sansktitik Chakra, runs a music school enrolling a variety of people with different cultural and folk talents to promote their rich heritage.
- Computer Training: The only organisation in the area to offer young students computer training courses to familiarize them with Microsoft Office, the internet, typing and shorthand.
- Medical Camp: A mobile dispensary with their own medical team helps over 50,000 people in the region. The van transports patients to nearby hospitals for serious and critical conditions.
