Jeevan Dhara envisions a society where every individual has access to education, skill development, and holistic well-being to lead a life of dignity. Its mission involves transforming lives through free educational services, vocational training, and rehabilitation programs to break cycles of poverty and foster self-reliance.
Major Interventions:
Education Initiatives: Jeevan Dhara provides consistent learning opportunities for children in slum communities to bridge academic gaps and prevent dropouts. Dedicated educators offer academic support, remedial teaching, and individual mentoring to students. These safe learning spaces promote critical thinking and confidence while integrating life skills and art-based learning into the curriculum.
National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS): This program focuses on the re-enrollment of dropout children into the formal education system. The team identifies and motivates children who previously discontinued their studies due to socio-economic challenges. The organization provides necessary documentation support and guidance to ensure a smooth transition back into academic life.
De-Addiction and Rehabilitation: It operates a voluntary rehabilitation center that assists individuals struggling with substance abuse. It focuses on behavioral change and provides a safe, nurturing environment for recovery. The program plays a crucial role in helping individuals reclaim their lives and reintegrate into society.
Football Program: The sports initiative uses football to build discipline, fitness, and leadership among youth. Children receive regular training and mentorship, which allows them to showcase their talent at competitive levels. This program opens doors to future opportunities and helps participants believe in their potential.
Vocational Training: To promote economic independence, the NGO offers practical training in computer literacy, tailoring, and Mehndi. These modules help youth and women develop market-relevant skills to secure employment or launch home enterprises. The program specifically empowers women to support their families and gain financial autonomy.
