Programs

Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal (SSM) is committed to holistic rural development. It envisions educated, cultured, vigilant, and prosperous rural communities. The focus involves attaining sustainable rural development through a need-based, transparent, and innovative approach.

Major Interventions:

Education: SSM promotes an education that goes beyond theory. Its approach is rooted in an activity-based teaching and learning model. It integrates technology into its learning centers. It also provides a platform for creative expression through fine arts. The educational institutions aim to inspire students towards excellence while providing holistic development opportunities.

Agriculture: SSM actively engages in agricultural Initiatives through the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) to enhance the productivity, profitability, and sustainability of agriculture for the farming community. It also promotes climate-smart agriculture. One of the projects includes the promotion of the ‘Dada Lad pattern’ for cotton crops, which has been beneficial for participating farmers.

Natural Resource Management: SSM specifically targets issues like water scarcity, soil erosion, and ecological degradation. The efforts in NRM have positively impacted numerous families by resolving water management problems and promoting rural livelihood. The NRM team has also extended its services to various villages, focusing on water conservation and climate change mitigation.

Skill Development: SSM addresses the skill gap for rural youth by providing need-based training programs. It emphasizes soft workplace skills. The Udyamita Learning Center facilitates youth in various employable skills and capacity-building programs and also supports women's empowerment and entrepreneurship.
