Khwahish to Serve Society (KHASS) fosters health, wellness, and social welfare. The vision is to empower communities through initiatives that prioritize hygiene, health, and recreational development. Guided by values of inclusivity, compassion, and innovation, the organization strives to uplift marginalized groups by addressing their immediate needs while fostering long-term sustainable growth.
Health and Wellness Initiatives: KHASS takes a proactive approach to improving community health through its Health & Wellness Centre. This facility provides vital health services, awareness campaigns, and preventive care to ensure the well-being of local populations. By addressing both physical and mental health, the centre embodies the holistic approach to community care.
Healthy Girls, Healthy Future: This flagship program underscores KHASS’s commitment to menstrual hygiene management. Through the distribution of sanitary napkins to schools and community centres, the initiative promotes awareness about menstrual health while ensuring accessibility to essential hygiene products. The NGO has implemented several initiatives in schools, including monthly education on menstrual hygiene management, installation of sanitary napkin vending machines and incinerators, and construction of toilets.
Hand Hygiene and Sanitation: Recognizing the importance of hand hygiene in preventing disease, KHASS has established handwashing stations at schools and public spaces. These efforts not only enhance public health but also instil lifelong habits in children, ensuring cleaner and healthier communities for future generations.
Sports and Recreation: Through initiatives such as providing sports equipment, organizing tournaments, and improving recreational facilities, the organization nurtures physical fitness and community spirit. By providing sports uniforms, safety gear, and equipment, as well as developing facilities like badminton courts and introducing table tennis to schools, KHASS continues to serve as a beacon of hope and progress, fostering healthier, stronger and more united communities.
