Udaan Welfare Foundation (Udaan), established in 2008, is committed towards developing sustainable projects for, and empowering the lives of the underprivileged children, women and senior citizens in and around Mumbai.
Main activities are:
Saksham Community Centre is a multi-dimensional facility that organizes and monitors a diverse set of health, education, skill development and welfare activities to needy children, women & senior citizens. So far, it has served over 10,000+ patients, 1,500+ children in education, 300+ women in skill development, 1,500+ children and adults in the health camps.
Technology Centre: Udaan’s residential technology centre at Ma Niketan offers basic computer learning courses, as well as lessons on Microsoft Office and the Internet. In the last 7+ years, 850+ girls has been educated with an investment of 30,000+ study hours. Mini-Edufests are organized to keep the children motivated and also works as a source of entertainment.
Project Annapoorna: In view of the impending 3rd wave, 31,615 packets of snacks were distributed to children, adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women. Cloth Masks, Hand wash Liquid and soaps were donated for the children of TMC School.
PSR Education Fund: Since 2009, the education of children up to Standard 10 studying in Anugrah Vidya Mandir (Ambernath) are being supported.
Udaan Edufest is an annual event where workshops, activities, games and entertainment programs are held encouraging more than 2000 children till date.
Protect the Protector: 20,000 N-95 masks, 23,000 3-ply surgical masks, 450 PPE kits, 100 pulse oximeters, 500 litres of sanitizers, 5 units each of ICU beds, 5 semi fowler beds, a wheel chair, a nebuliser and a weighing scale were donated to the municipal corporation of greater Mumbai and other hospitals.
On World CSR Day, Udaan was conferred a “Certificate of Merit” by the World CSR Congress.
