Programs

In 2014-15 they held following programs:

  • Women Empowerment & Welfare Program:  The Sanstha decided to create this program to help women be self-reliant, to provide help and suggestions to all NGO Trustees, Members & other social workers. This program benefited 300 women.
  • Child labor and working child rescue program:  This program was arranged because Gondia, Bhandara, and Gadchiroli Districts are areas that are not fully developed and children are forced to work in these districts.
  • HIV/AIDS awareness programs: In order to avoid effect of AIDS in rural India, the Sanstha conducted a seminar for the women who are part of Self Help Savings Groups, guiding them about the risk factors which lead to getting infected by the AIDS virus, precautions to be taken to avoid AIDS, and further advised them to be faithful with their life partners. A total of 500 people participated in the seminar.
  • Horticultural Commercial Crop cultivation and Farmers training program: The Sanstha arranged this program to inform farmers about new modifications in farming and motivate them to grow new products and horticulture commercial crops. This program benefited about 60 farmers.
  • Dairy Farming and Processing Program:  The organization arranged this program for Self Help Groups (SHG) at Dongargaon. 299 farmers benefited from this program.
  • Capacity Building Program: The Sanstha has been building capacities of its staff members, volunteers, and various associates. They conduct training programs from time to time to refresh their knowledge and learn about new developments in related fields.

They also conducted the following activities:

  • Handloom and Dress Designing Camp
  • Handicap child protection and adult education Program
  • Consumer Awareness Program
  • Sports Development Program
  • Cultural Program
  • Roses, Vegetable, Medicinal and Aromatic plantation Programs
  • Blood Donation, Malaria, Polio, and Cancer Awareness Camps
