Child Help Foundation (CHF) is a dedicated to empower underprivileged, needy, and neglected children in India. CHF has been committed to providing humanitarian aid across the country, focusing on education, medical treatment, and basic care and development. As a child-centric NGO, CHF aims to bridge the gap by offering education, scholarships, emergency medical resources, and nutritional meals. With a vision to reach out to marginalized children and make them future-ready, and a mission to inspire a culture of giving, CHF continues to bring smiles and hope to countless young lives.
Major Interventions:
Health: The Emergency Medical Support initiative aims to address the critical healthcare needs of children. Recognizing the profound impact of inadequate healthcare on communities, it focuses on providing essential medical treatments such as surgeries, transplants, and long-term care for serious conditions. By partnering with hospitals and medical professionals, it ensures that children receive the necessary medical attention. In addition, CHF addresses maternal and child health through its Baby Feeding Centres (BFC) which creates private, hygienic spaces for mothers to breastfeed their infants in public buildings and spaces, promoting a safe and comfortable environment for breastfeeding. By implementing BFCs in various locations, CHF ensures the well-being of both mothers and infants, aligning with its broader focus on maternal and child care. CHF also places a strong emphasis on childhood cancer, collaborating with specialized hospitals to offer comprehensive treatment and financial support for children from low-income families.
Education: CHF offers primary education to economically disadvantaged children through its Child Care Institutions (CCIs) across India. These CCIs provide essential services like emergency outreach, institutional care, family and community-based care, counselling, and support thereby providing a nurturing environment for children's personal development. It organizes various activities, including celebrations of significant events, competitions, and awareness sessions on social issues to engage children and address educational barriers, empowering them and contributing to India's development. The Digital Classroom aims to familiarize students with digital education, preparing them for a technology-driven future. Additionally, CHF supports education through scholarship support, ensuring that students can continue their studies without financial barriers.
Humanitarian Relief: CHF stands as a beacon of hope during times of natural calamities, offering crucial humanitarian initiatives to affected communities. CHF swiftly mobilizes staff and volunteers across various states in India to provide aid where it is most needed. From distributing clothes, blankets, footwear, and stationery to organizing flood relief and ration kits, CHF ensures that essential supplies reach those impacted by disasters, demonstrating its commitment to alleviating suffering and rebuilding lives in the wake of natural disasters.
Village Development: CHF is committed to addressing the inequities in rural India. It aims to make villagers self-sufficient by setting up self-help groups, business centres, and training sessions. The NGO launched a community development project establishing a commercial hub called Bazaarhaat. This initiative has created numerous job opportunities and enabled locals to start their own businesses, thereby fostering economic growth. With training and skill development programs, the focus is to bring prosperity and development to some of India's most remote regions.
Additionally, CHF has been involved in toilet construction, menstrual health management, installation of drinking water purifiers, and various cleaning activities in villages.
