Khushi Educational and Social Trust is a nongovernmental organization working towards bringing a change for the betterment of under privileged women and children through the most powerful medium, that of education. Our mission is to play an active role towards building an educated, socially aware, self-reliant and a healthy society.
Khushi is registered under THE BOMBAY PUBLIC TRUSTS ACT, 1950 (under section 29).
“To dutifully serve the society that we live in is true social service”. Khushi Trust is the result of coming together of socially conscious persons who firmly believe in this ideology.
In close co-operation with schools and have conducted projects in almost 275 schools located between Kurla and Ambernath, undertaking programs for English E-teach, Body Literacy, Art Masti, holding Sports Camps, Summer Camps, and Science Fairs. So far more than 1,80,000 students have benefited from of our projects
Our Current Projects :
Body Literacy Project:
Body literacy project is an attempt to communicate with youth. It is very essential to interact with children about physical, emotional and psychological changes that take place during puberty. Due to lack of information, youth are misled and take wrong steps. To provide them with the right information at the right age is very important. Apart from physical, psychological and emotional changes, subjects like nutritious diet in growing age, menstrual cycle and superstitions related to them, cleanliness are included in this project. This program is conducted in schools and settlements with children of age 12 or more
Art Masti
Art Masti is an initiative to harbor and encourage creativity and artistic qualities in children. These qualities are necessary for the overall development and confidence as they recognize their hidden talents and are appreciated for their artistry.
New Initiative for the Elderly
The changing social conditions and life style on the one hand, and increasing needs of the family on the other, has brought about fundamental changes in the family structure.
From a joint family system we are increasingly moving towards nuclear families. Since life expectancy has also improved due to better medical care, there are more elderly people living longer. Moreover, all family members have to step out of the house in search of employment due to meet increasing economic needs. As a result, the elderly of the house remain alone at home. Due to this social disruption, they are forced to live in loneliness. Loss of esteem, solitude and isolation increases the feeling of insecurity thus becoming a leading cause of depression.
We have initiated a project to deal with the social needs of people who are losing their self-confidence, esteem and self-worth. This project envisages enabling and empowering this section of society and not just giving them time and attention. Our Trust has designed a road map to serve this purpose. It is a chain of programs to be followed step-wise. Each event will lead the beneficiary to the next step.
Project Design:
Beneficiaries will be divided into groups. Interactions will be carried out three days a week for two hours with each group, i.e. twelve sittings in a month or at least 24 hours in a month will be given to each group. The following activities will be undertaken.
1.Physiotherapy
To keep the body fit, specific types of exercise are required at this age. Since not everyone can afford to pay for physiotherapy, this project gives special importance to physiotherapy which will be done in a professional manner with follow- up under the supervision of a qualified physiotherapist.
2.Counseling
Where required, individual group members will be counselled regularly to deal with specific issues, and in general, counselling sessions will be held with all.
3.Activities
Activities of interest such as Art & Craft, drawing & painting, singing etc.will be organized for everyone every week.
4.Medical check-up
Health check-ups will be done from time to time. If anyone has any special needs, a solution will be found by discussions with the doctor concerned.
5.Library
Books and newspaperswill be made available as per the interest of the group members. For those who cannot read, arrangements will be made to read to them.
6.Home visits
Our volunteers will undertake home visitsto each member’s home. Periodic discussions will also be held with other family members.
Beneficiaries of the project: The beneficiaries of the project are elderly persons who are 55 plus of age. Participation is free for all members.

TEST: We’re deeply grateful for the kindness and generosity shown towards Ramesh’s campaign so far. Your support has given him and his family hope during one of the most challenging times of their lives.
Ramesh’s knee condition continues to cause him pain and restrict his movement, but knowing that so many people care has strengthened his determination to undergo the surgery and get back on his feet. The funds raised are steadily bringing us closer to covering the cost of his knee replacement, and every single contribution matters.
If you haven’t yet shared Ramesh’s story, please consider doing so. Spreading the word will help us reach more people who can join this journey to restore his mobility and livelihood.
Thank you for standing by Ramesh — together, we’re making his dream of walking without pain a reality.
