BARE FOOT LAWYER TRAINNING PROGRAMME

LSBS (Lokshahir Sitaram Babu Sonawane) Charitable Trust is a registered organization which runs a leadership program named MARJI (Mere Adhikar Meri Jimmedari).This program is being implemented in Mumbai and its Suburbans since November 2020.

Our work is supported by educated youth from different fields who have volunteered for this program. Our volunteers helps to create awareness about constitutional laws in Mumbai and its suburban regions. The volunteers provide free counselling to the victims with legal assistance. They guide them in various government/semi-government processes by visiting the victim.

We carry on various legal information and leadership training in the communities. This program initiative helps to empower the victim in the community. Through this initiative more than 280 victims have approached MARJI with their problems. The problem includes domestic violence, child sexual abuse, child marriage, sexual exploitation of women at workplace, financial fraud, kidnapping, online fraud, stalking, dowry etc. MARJI had succeeded in filing 28 FIRs in Mumbai and suburban Police Stations. MARJI has successfully played a major part in providing justice 67 cases till now.
