Programs

Agewell Foundation is a dedicated initiative for the welfare and empowerment of older persons. It strives to create an infrastructure that empowers every older person to live with respect and companionship. The mission focuses on changing perceptions about old age and assisting individuals as they move toward confidence and mutual caring. By advocating for the rights of the elderly and fostering intergenerational interaction, the foundation works to build a society that is inherently friendly to senior citizens.

Major Interventions:

Healthcare Equipment Distribution: Agewell conducts regular drives to provide essential healthcare accessories to destitute elderly individuals. Volunteers identify needy beneficiaries and organize camps to distribute items such as wheelchairs, walkers, adult diapers, and walking sticks. These efforts aim to improve the mobility and daily comfort of senior citizens living in disadvantaged conditions.

Food Ration and Nutrition Support: To address food insecurity, it distributes free food ration packets containing essential grains, pulses, and edible oils. Specialized nutri-kits and wellness kits are also provided to support the physical health of the elderly. These programs ensure that senior citizens in poverty-stricken areas receive the necessary nutrition and hygiene products for their well-being.

Helpline for Older Persons: Agewell maintains a comprehensive helpline network to attend to the medical, emotional, and legal needs of senior citizens. This service acts as a bridge between those seeking assistance and various support providers. Dedicated volunteers across numerous districts ensure that no cry for help goes unanswered, providing counseling and rebuilding self-confidence.

Digital Literacy Program: In response to the modern technological landscape, the foundation runs a digital literacy program to empower older persons. This initiative helps senior citizens become computer literate, enabling them to remain in the mainstream of society. By bridging the knowledge gap, the program assists the elderly in leading more comfortable and respectable lives.
