Name of Speaker: Noshir Dadrawala

Designation: CEO, Centre for Advancement of Philanthropy

Profile:Noshir H Dadrawala has studied law and especially non-profit law and has been passionate about the philanthropy sector. Noshir has been the Chief Executive of the Centre for Advancement of Philanthropy (CAP) right since its inception in 1986. CAP has been a dependable and credible resource for guidance on all legal, governance and related issues pertaining to the non-profit sector in India for over 25 years and in his capacity as CEO, Noshir is consulted for advice on matters such as the choice of set-up of non-profit organizations, integrated legal and fiscal compliances, tax exemptions and deductions, Foreign Contributions Regulatory Act (FCRA) and good governance best practices.

His international affiliations include serving on the board of the International Centre for Nonprofit Law (ICNL) and serving as a member of the Asian Philanthropy Advisory Network (APAN). In India, he serves as a trustee on several boards - Alliance (India), Happy Home and School for the Blind, India Sponsorship Committee, V-Care Foundation, Forbes Foundation, Bombay Community Public Trust, Ashta No Kai, Healis-Seksaria Foundation, Jai Ho Trust and Junoon Theatre and Arts Foundation among them.

He has authored several resource books. He is also the regional contributing editor of the International Journal on Non-profit Law and is co-author of an internationally-acclaimed publication titled, Philanthropy and Law in South Asia.

Designation: Vice President, Business Development, IDA Ireland

Profile: A post graduate in Change Management from the Open University, UK; Tanaz works with the Irish government helping Indian companies set up in Ireland. Prior to this Tanaz was with the British government. In her career spanning 22 years, Tanaz has worked with MNCs, conglomerates, large corporates, SMEs and start-ups alike helping them in their plans for European growth. Planning, strategising, resource management have always been an important part of the mix in any project she has worked with. It is this valuable knowledge and experience that will help deliver the session on Strategic Planning.

Designation:Founder - Director, Antarang Foundation

Profile: Priya Agrawal holds Bachelors in Life Sciences and a Masters in Management. After working for a decade in Advertising Planning and Research, she moved to the Development Sector. She has held key leadership roles in organisations in this sector - as COO of The Akanksha Foundation and SNEHA (Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action). She is currently a Senior Advisor in Strategic Planning and Expansion with the Aangan Trust. Priya has recently founded Antarang Foundation, an organisation that works with disadvantaged youth in building self-reliance and bridging the gap between education and employability.

Designation: Executive Director, Centre for Promoting Accountability and Financial Management Service Foundation

Profile: Sanjay Patra has experience of 25 years in the Voluntary & Development Sector. He is currently the Executive Director of the Financial Management Services Foundation (FMSF). He is also the Co-Chairperson of the Advisory Committee for the Diploma in Financial Management and Accountability (DFMA), a joint initiative of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). He has also been a Resource Person in many National as well as International Workshops specializing in the areas of Financial Management, Governance and Legal aspects of the Voluntary Sector. To date, he has facilitated more than 200 workshops. Over the years, he has engaged in major research, training and has also authored books on financial audit & written several articles.

Profile: Sougat Ghosh has 14 years of experience with leading IT companies including nine years with IBM. Currently he has a strategic role at CA Technologies. Sougat has worked across consulting, technology delivery, pre-sales and sales and has received numerous accolades for his effective presentations from industry stalwarts. He has been invited to represent his organisation at CII, Industry analyst sessions and many relevant forums. He has been a guest lecturer evaluating presentations at premier management and engineering colleges. In his personal capacity he always thrives to see how he can make a difference and has been actively involved in assisting individuals and organisations on how to use 'Right to Information' effectively. Sougat is an engineering graduate from University of Pune and has pursued his executive management education from IIM-Kozhikode.

Profile: Madhukar Kumar spearheads the operations for the Western Region of iVolunteer & is also the Project Head for the ICICI Fellows Programme. Prior to joining iVolunteer more than 3 years back, Madhukar has had a successful track record of working as a Functional Analyst with leading IT Company. He possesses a cumulative experience of about 9 years in the IT sector. He did his engineering from NIT Surathkal before pursuing MBA from IIM Calcutta.

Designation: Consultant

Profile:Having invested a quarter century in the corporate sector selling and marketing consumer durables, telecom equipment and research and information services, Sameer moved to the social sector in 2010 to share knowledge acquired while in the corporate sector to enable non profit organisations to achieve higher growth and sustainability.

A B.Com and an MBA, he currently works as a pro bono freelance consultant to NGOs supplementing their efforts to create and execute their marketing strategies.

Designation: Consultant

Profile:Ms. Gayatree Oak – Sathe, post graduate in “Social Work” from TISS, has been working in development sector for more than 25 years. She has extensive experience of working at grass root and managerial positions in urban as well as rural settings. She has worked with well known organizations like FPAI, Apnalaya, Comet Media Foundation, Children of the world, Stree Mukti Sanghatana, Population First, TISS etc.

She has experience in planning and implementing the participatory research processes on issues of “Water and Sanitation” and “Reproductive and Child Health”. She has a vast training experience and has conducted training programs and workshops for Para Professionals, Community Health Volunteers and Youth from communities.
