Native Medicare Charitable Trust (NMCT) focuses on capacity building, promotion and support service towards achieving socio-economic empowerment. The Trust implements projects on Livelihood development, Health & Hygiene, Education to Community Children, Rural & Tribal Woman, Migrants, Tribes and People infected by HIV / AIDS.

Major Interventions:

Health:  KKS-BMZ Life project aims at providing better quality of life through Participation, access to Prevention, Treatment, Care and Education to PLHIVs, families affected by HIV/AIDS and Female Sex Workers, Male sex workers and Transgender. In order to provide Primary Health Care Services at the door steps to community people below the poverty line, the NGO provides an Ambulance which helps them to improve their health and access to health care during emergency. The ambulance service has been reaching more than 20 Tribal hamlets of Coimbatore District. NMCT in partnership with Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society, Chennai and National AIDS Control Organization, Delhi, works with migrants developing advocacy with management and targeted industries, reaches out the migrants at their door steps to create awareness on prevention of STD and HIV/AIDS. This effort extends to public campaigns aimed at reducing stigma and enhancing public understanding of these health issues.

Education: NMCT aims to provide sustainable school transformation that will ensure better learning and physical environment for children. It provides educational support for college fees, note books and accessories to pursue their university higher education as engineers, teachers, nurses, physiotherapists, etc. to children of families infected by HIV/AIDS as they could not spare adequate money for spending towards the education of their children nor they care for their education due to family circumstances. The Happy School Project aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to improve health, quality education, and gender equality through comprehensive educational support.

Sanitization Measures & Awareness: NMCT aims at training the children at Government and Panchayat Union Schools on Water Sanitation and Hygiene through various programs including construction, renovation of new toilets, hand wash platforms with taps and provision for safe drinking water and Incinerators. It also sensitizes the school teachers and management committee, parents and community on WaSH along with emphasis on Menstrual Hygiene Management training.

Livelihood: Focusing on capacity building, fostering community links and promoting of small business to build sustainable livelihood options for them. Inclusion of women in economic activities and encouraging women-owned entrepreneurial ventures in rural India have proved to be successful in eradicating issues related to the livelihood of rural people.

Care & Rehabilitation: NMCT provides essential care and support to vulnerable groups through its specialized programs. The Abhaya Students Shelter offers a safe and nurturing environment for children in need, focusing on their protection and educational development. For elderly women who have been abandoned, the Abhaya Sadan – Elderly Home offers shelter and basic necessities, ensuring they receive the care and dignity they deserve in their later years.
