Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya (KSV) is dedicated to transforming the lives of children from socially marginalised and economically disadvantaged backgrounds by providing an education that blends rigorous academics with training in the performing arts. The school offers a nurturing environment where students receive academic instruction, artistic guidance, nutrition, healthcare, and personal development support.

Major Interventions:

Academic Programs: KSV’s academic department delivers a child-centric curriculum that caters to diverse learning styles, encouraging students to progress at their own pace. Innovative teaching methods, technology integration, and experiential learning form the foundation of instruction from primary through higher secondary levels. Beyond school completion, KSV supports students in pursuing higher education, offering both moral and financial assistance to help them achieve their professional aspirations.

Performing Arts: As a performing arts school, KSV places the arts at the heart of its identity. Students engage in structured programs in Hindustani classical music, Kathak dance, drama, and instrumental training in tabla, sitar, and violin. Weekly “Manch Pradarshan” events and special programs with renowned artists help students build stage confidence, discipline, and cultural appreciation, while fostering creativity and self-expression.

Student Welfare: KSV operates as a residential school, with hostels designed for different age groups, each supervised by dedicated wardens. The welfare program ensures students receive balanced vegetarian meals daily, healthcare through on-campus and hospital partnerships, and a safe, supportive living environment that promotes both physical and mental well-being.

Volunteers from around the world contribute their skills as teachers, healthcare providers, and mentors, enhancing students’ education and broadening cultural horizons. KSV sustains its work through fundraising, child sponsorship, and donor-supported initiatives such as Annadaan, which ensures nutritious meals for all students.
