Kesari Devi Charitable Trust (KDCT) was established in September 2010 to build a rural school in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Its aim is to provide affordable quality education to children in underdeveloped areas of India and mold them into good and responsible citizens. Late Smt. Kesari Devi, the founder of KDTC built this school using all her savings and a strong will to provide quality education to children from rural areas in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. KDTC collaborates with governmental and other agencies in organizing various promotional activities in areas like, health-care, family planning, adult education, environmental conservation, water management, etc. These activities will help develop stronger bonds between the school and the community.

From 2010, Kesari Devi Charitable Trust has dedicated all their efforts & resources to building a school for children in the rural areas of Uttar Pradesh, India. Abhinav Vidyalaya, in collaboration with Round Table India (RTI) consists of almost 200 students since inception. Monthly fees of Abhinav Vidyalaya is rupees Three Hundred and fees is waived off for those who belong to low-paid families. Every year KDTC adds a new classroom to the school after building sufficient infrastructure to accommodate those many students. The NGO so far has seven classrooms from kindergarten to Grade 5. They plan to implement 5-7 more classes by the end of 2021.

In 2018, Kesari Trust developed a playground and a binary wall along with a new classroom. Teachers of Abhinav Vidyalaya participated in training workshops with proper expertise and 16 interactive sessions with the facilitated jury. With the help of Round Table, India, KDTC sent 13 of their students to an educational excursion to Agra free of cost. It was a once in a lifetime learning experience for all the students. Trustees & teachers also meet annually to discuss new concepts or idea that can be implemented and new ways to increase value in every student’s education in Varanasi.
