The objective of this program is to provide bright, but financially underprivileged students, financial assistance who, with their own resources may not be able to complete a professional course. During FY 2020-21, a total of 16 scholarships were awarded to students at IIT-B amounting to Rs. 13,10,500/-. This included scholarships to 4 new students and scholarships to 12 renewal student. FFE through A World of Opportunity Foundation, awarded laptops to 378 of its sponsored students. FFE, by seeking the support of its donors worldwide, initiated a campaign to provide financial assistance to the families most affected by the lockdown, supporting 3201 families.

Skill Development and Job Readiness Program

The 3-year training program includes a curated set of skills trainings, delivered through vendor partners for Engineering and BPharm students, from Year 2 to Year 4. The program began with second year students completing a diagnostic assessment, AMCAT (Aspiring Minds' Computer Adaptive Test) conducted by Aspiring Minds to identify specific skill gaps. Courses offered to FFE scholars included 16 specializations, with more than 5 certification courses within each specialization. This was expected to directly impact and improve student employment opportunities on graduation.

Donor Scholar Meetings

FFE felt the need to adapt new strategies of engagement with its students and stakeholders. Virtual connections were established by FFE, with its scholars to motivate and help them by providing opportunities to learn and up skill themselves through online courses. FFE also encouraged its corporate donors to conduct workshops, webinars and trainings with their sponsored scholars and the FFE student community at large, these meaningful interactions, focusing on career readiness, emotional and mental well-being, stress and time management etc.
