Connecting Underprivileged Communities to Income Generation
  • Crisis: Despite many unfilled jobs in India, youth unemployment rate is high due to lack of skills. Etasha focuses on holistic development and mindset change of underprivileged youth and their eco-system.
  • Programs: 1) Vocational Training & Placement: Short-duration industry-relevant skills training and placement is provided. Beneficiaries: Std XII passed underprivileged youth. 2) Employability Skill Development: Includes soft and core skills training and placement for youth and students from Industrial Training Institutes (ITI). 3) Career Guidance: Provided based on student's interest and potential. 4) Other: Training ITI instructors in employability skills; entrepreneurship development and enterprise management for women keen on income generation.
  • Outcome: 1) 30,000+ youth reached. 2) 11,900+ youth trained in vocational & employability skills. Overall placement rate is ~70%. Starting monthly salaries are in the range of ₹7,500 to ₹15,000. 3) 8,000+ students given career guidance. 4) 120+ ITI trainers trained. 5) 170+ women skilled.
