Each One Teach One (EOTO) focusses on promoting education and providing educational support like extra coaching, school uniforms, notebooks, etc. It has its presence in urban and rural areas reaching out to more 10,000 children in 20 states in India. Their vision is to reach out to more than 40,000 students.

EOTO started with only five children and a dream to transform their lives. Today, after 31 years, it has evolved from one woman’s dream into a diverse and professional organization with holistic and effective programs and transparent processes. EOTO has been successful in breaking the cycle of poverty for thousands of underprivileged children by enabling them become self-sufficient and contributing members of society and by encouraging them to believe in their dreams.

The team of EOTO is committed to enhance the schooling of the underprivileged children by strengthening their intellectual and emotional capabilities and training them to be competent, ethical and socially responsible citizens.

Though the main focus is on promoting education and providing educational support, EOTO also organizes medical camps, counseling camps, summer camps etc.; conducts health, nutrition and environment awareness and personality development sessions; organizes inter school mathematics olympiad, chess competitions, sports competitions and cultural events such as dance programs, Diwali celebrations, picnics, and farewell events.

To support the education process it has set up toy and book libraries in schools and science laboratories to increase technical experience for students. It also provides special counselling sessions to those who need it and career guidance programs for students in class 10. As students stay longer before or after school hours, EOTO’s model is to provide nutritious snacks to ensure that children are well fed.

It has extended its support to Sahyadri Nisarg Jeevan Sanstha, an orphanage for children at Badlapur, in Thane (Maharashtra).

EOTO’s cycle consists of students giving back to the community, each older child teaches a younger child, EOTO’s students’ association works to better processes, Ex-students sponsor current students and provide support like volunteering & guiding, giving time, teaching a skill or contributing monetarily through donations and sponsorships.
