Crisis: Health and education are defining sectors for equitable human development and inclusive economic growth for India. Even after adequate government provision services in the health and education sector there is a huge gap for them to be actually delivered to that particular income group because of a high poverty rate in India.
Programs: Parivartan Sandesh Foundation (PSF) has been working with the low income group to better their socio-economic conditions in our country through several programs.
a) In the Education & School program, PSF provides English conversational classes, Computer coaching classes, several Career Counselling sessions and financial assistance for children based out of small villages and they also conduct Monthly Awareness Programs about relevant topics outside a school's curriculum.
b) Under their Health & Survival programs PSF works with the population residing in the Slums of India. Currently they are providing with supplements, medical and financial assistance to children who need heart surgeries and also young girls fighting with early puberty. The NGO also has Monthly Awareness programs about Personal Hygiene at several village based schools.
PSF's reach increased to 22,500 adults and children under the Health and Survival Programs Out of the 22,500 beneficiaries 12 of them underwent successful Heart Surgeries. 175,000 children participated in their Education & School Monthly Awareness Programs and 220 students got recruited through the NGO's English Conversational Classes in 2017-2018.
