Make-A-Wish Foundation works to fulfill the most cherished wish of children suffering from life-threatening illnesses. With 9 divisions and 325+ volunteers, it has granted 52,710 wishes so far and aims to fulfill 75,000 wishes by 2020.
Eligibility criteria: i) Referral by a Certified doctor to initiate the wish-granting process. ii) A child with a life-threatening medical condition, in the age group of 3-18 years. iii) No wish granted to the same child earlier.
Types of Wishes: i) Wish to Have. ii) Wish to Be. iii) Wish to Meet. iv) Wish to Go. Process: i) Referral of a child. ii) Volunteers meeting the parents and the wish child. iii) Recording the wish after interaction with the wish child. iv) Wish fulfilment process. v) Wish granting function.

2011 Impact Report: A wish come true empowers children to fight harder against their illnesses. 89% doctors believe that a wish experience influences the wish kids' physical health and 99% parents reported that their children were happier.
