Alleviation on developmental disability
  • Tamahar Trust works with children between 0 to 21 years of age with developmental disabilities or brain damage. Tamahar believes that every individual has something to offer with the right opportunity and resources. Hence, they have programed several interventions that include occupational therapy, music therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, basic education, etc.
  • Programs: i) Early intervention program and the School Program is an initiative under Education to provide an environment to assist children for developing appropriate skills. ii) They also run Therapy Programs for children with special needs like music therapy, art & crafts therapy, physiotherapy, etc. iii) The Trust has established Special Programs to provide services like pre vocational training to youngsters, rural and sub-urban initiative to spread education throughout geographical locations and sheltered workshops for young adults with severe disabilities. iv) Training & Family support programs offers counseling & care, respite care and awareness to parents and family members for a child with special needs. v) Besides these, Tamahar also carries out Extra Curricular activities that include sports coaching, arts and dance, summer camps, etc.
  • Tamahar Trust helped 576 beneficiaries through their programs directly and indirectly as well.
