India Foundation for Humanistic Development [IFHD] is a Section 8 not-for-profit company, based in Bangalore, with PAN India operations in the focus areas of sustainable agriculture, livelihoods, micro-enterprise development, biodiversity conservation and greening food and energy systems. It visions to rejuvenate productive landscapes equitably and sustainably.

It acts as an enabler through their programs as follows:

  • ProCIF: It is a rural business incubator which aims to transform asset-poor organizations into credit-worthy, market-ready sustainable business enterprises. It focuses on food sovereignty, climate resilience agriculture, sustainable & fair trade practices, adoption of renewable energy.
  • ProHabitat: It focuses on conversation & restoration of critically endangered habitats & their biodiversity through local community participation and improving the resilience of local communities located on the fringes of these habitants thereby emphasising on wetland, forest and coastal eco-systems in the central Western Ghats.
  • ProRASA: It promotes climate-resilient & sustainable agricultural practices in predominantly rain-fed faring systems, by enriching soil health, diversity based farming, promoting livestock & fisheries, conserving water & strengthening the capacities of Farmer Producer organizations (FPOs).
  • ProSDG: A new program initiated on improving performance on SDGs in rural India, adhering to the credo of ‘leaving no one behind’, layering current & future projects through the framework of localizing & partnering with communities to co-create, capacitate & implement solutions.

Thus, IFHD provide services across the Ecological, Economic & Social sectors.

IFHD is a member of Karnataka Government’s Committee for formulating FPO policy, FICCIFPO Task Force, NAFPO technical partner etc.
