Program for Promotion Farmer Producer Company: Small Farmer Agri-business Consortium (SFAC) has allotted the work to promote five farmer producer companies. The program will provide services to 5,000 farmers over the next 3 years. KVGPS has decided to take up the major part of the program in its operation area in Buldhana and Jalgaon District. Out of five clusters four will be in Buldhana District and one would be in Bodwad Block of Jalgaon District.
Rajiv Gandhi Participatory Irrigation and Agriculture Development Project: This project is funded by Irrigation Improvement Division (IID) Department of Minor Irrigation of the Government of Maharashtra. KVGPS has been conducting different project activities for each project village. In Maharashtra, there are around 65,000 small irrigation projects having miniscule irrigation potential (10-15%). Under this pilot project, emphasis has been given on promotion of new Water Users Association (WUA) as well as capacity building of the existing Water Users Associations for effective Water Management.
Watershed Development Program: KVGPS has been appointed as a Project implementing agency for the implementation of NABARD Supported Holistic Watershed Development Programs (NHWDP) in Kihni Nagpur Cluster of Khamgaon Block of Buldana District. Apart from soil water conservation, the organization has facilitated ‘Sanykta Mahila Samittee (SMS)’ in both villages to undertake livelihood finance activities.
Organic Farming Program: In collaboration with the Agriculture Department of the Maharashtra State Government, KVGPS carried out promotional activities in Khamgaon block of Buldana district under the Organic Farming Promotion Scheme. Under this scheme, Farmers Field School is a major capacity building activity.
