Nageshwara Charitable Trust (NCT) was formed with objectives to generate self-employment, empower rural women, oversee tribal and farmer welfare, and enrich natural resource management, health and sanitation. The Trust ensures achieving its objectives through Women's Self-Help Groups, Village Development Committees, Farmer Unions, etc.
Programs of NCT: i) Natural Resource Management Projects - Watershed Development, Soil Conservation Initiatives, Honey Conversing. ii) Livelihood Projects - Integrated Tribal Development, Community Mobilization and Empowerment of Village Planning Committees, Adoption of Rice Intensification System in villages. iii) Women & Farmer Development Projects - Promotion and Digitization of SHGs, Promoting Farmer Producer Organizations, etc. iv) Healthcare & Sanitation facilities provided.
Impact for 2018: A total of 971 hectares has been treated under the Watershed Development program in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. NCT works with 400 traditional tribal honey collectors and sells it under the brand 'Vanamrut'. The Trust works with over 1000 SHGs across 7 districts.
