Gramin Samaj Kalyan Vikas Manch (GSKVM) was founded in 1990 to serve the humanity irrespective of caste, gender, creed and religion. The NGO began its initiatives in villages of Jharkhand buried into deep poverty due to famines and drought. Programs have been developed after years of research and study done by the NGO.
Programs: i) Healthcare: Care and control for TB and HIV/AIDS patients by providing free medical facilities to them. Free nutritional supplements in urban slums of India for children. ii) Intervention on Witch hunting which prevents the villagers from killing innocent people considered possessed by evil in the remote areas. iii) Anti-trafficking program to stop bonded child labor. iv) Community sensitization safe drinking water. v) Social awareness initiative to encourage digital literacy.
Impact: GSKVM has developed 180 vigilance committees with the support of network NGOs to act against trafficking.
