Building a society where everyone is self-reliant
  • Unified Development Association for Amelioration of Neglected (UDAAN) Society was started 13 years ago with a simple purpose of providing different kinds of services to the weaker section of India. With time the organization evolved and focused on empowering vulnerable children, women and the society.
  • Projects: UDAAN's 3 major focus-areas are: 1) UDAAN Children - Under this sub-program the NGO aims to prevent child abuse and child labor by conducting several awareness workshops on juvenile justice, child rights, etc. They also host counseling seminars for vulnerable children and have initiated Childline, a helpline to rescue a child in danger/need. 2) UDAAN Women - To uplift women of the weaker section of our society Udaan provides free education and self-defense training workshops to girls as well as women. 3) UDAAN Society - In order to do their bit to conserve our environment and pay back to our society the NGO participates in Water Conservation, Tree Plantation and several Cleanliness & Sanitation drives.
  • UDAAN also works on spreading importance of Health Care. They arrange free eye checkups and cataract surgeries, conduct HIV/AIDS awareness initiatives, provide counseling seminars to cancer patients, etc.
