Pachhat Varg Vikas Mandal (PVVM) mainly operates awareness camps for community education and development, medical care and nutrition. They provide vocational training to improve opportunities for self-employment and provide information on different government schemes.
Their activities in 2013-14 were as follows:
Educational Program and Coordination of Educational Activities: PVVM staff organised educational programs covering areas such as road safety, women/adult education and languages such as Urdu, Arbi and Farsi. Prior to FY12 they had worked to enrol students in the pre-primary schools in the area and helped them receive government scholarship benefits.
Employment and Self-Employment Activities: The organisation conducted training activities for 287 young people in vocations such as computer and mobile repairing.
Women Welfare Development Relief Activities: PVVM conducted camps for women on legal aid awareness, adult education and general awareness.
Relief activities for disabled people: During the year they conducted camps to help the disabled. They distributed artificial limbs to 76 people. Another 128 disabled people benefitted from welfare and training programs.
Other Awareness Activities: PVVM conducted a range of activities and camps during the year. These included heath check-ups, animal welfare camps, environment awareness, family counselling, yoga and meditation.
