Vidyaranya is committed to serving women, children, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. With a mission to uplift vulnerable groups through holistic support and sustainable solutions, Vidyaranya aligns its goals toward rehabilitation, empowerment, and inclusive growth.

Major Interventions:

Open Shelter and Urban Homeless Initiatives: Children in street situations and the urban homeless are supported through shelter, food, education, and healthcare. These interventions aim to protect and rehabilitate the most neglected urban populations.

Special Schools and Hostels: Vidyaranya runs residential schools for mentally challenged children and hostels for disabled students and working women. These initiatives focus on inclusive education, vocational skill-building, and self-reliance. It offers training in computers, tailoring, embroidery, and spoken English, especially for tribal women and persons with disabilities, promoting economic independence and social inclusion.

Old Age and Destitute Care: manages old age homes for women and men, offering food, shelter, medical care, and emotional support. These homes aim to restore dignity and comfort to the elderly, especially those abandoned or without familial care.

Swadhar Greh – Sanjeevini and Sodari Centres offer comprehensive residential care for women in crisis, including those who are widowed, deserted, or survivors of violence. The centres provide shelter, food, vocational training, counseling, and reintegration support to help women rebuild their lives independently and with dignity.

Namma Mane (Our Home) provides care and education for vulnerable girl children who are orphans, survivors of abuse, or from disadvantaged backgrounds. The program supports holistic child development through schooling, recreation, healthcare, and emotional well-being.
