Keshav Srushti (KS) aims to create social impact in different areas affecting lives. This social impact is carried out through various projects like self-sustaining city forest, arrangement of water, education and employment opportunities in villages of Palghar. They also take part in rearing of cows, implementing efficient practices in agricultural activities, Vanaushadhi (herbal medicine), leadership development academy and management of Ashram for senior citizens
Programs:
Agriculture- water- Environment: They have conducted more than 95000 trees plantation drives. Solar farming project had been installed to help farms with adequate water supply post monsoons. Using Solar pumps water from is pumped to farms in 6 villages. Along with farmers training and guidance programmes, water conservations programs are also implemented.
Education: Through Madhab Sanskar Kendras and Knowledge on Wheels (KoW) program education is provided to children from the villages. KoW was used for educational and health purposes.
Healthcare & Cleanliness: People are trained by medical practitioners as healthcare workers catering to 75 villages. Health check-up camps are organized for children and teachers are organized regularly. Plastic waste management awareness is created and huge plastic waste bins are provided to villagers. Building of sanitation facilities such as toilets were built in various villages.
Entrepreneurship: Bamboo Handicrafts and Mangal fibre business has been set up. More than 300 artisans from 10 villages sold bamboo rakhis and kandils, with high demands for such products in USA, UK, Austrailia and Canada. Women are also trained to make rakhis from Banana fibre. 50000 bamboo rakhis, 5000 banana fibre rakhis and 2500 bamboo were made for FY21.
