Adarsh Shiksha Samiti is dedicated to the empowerment, education, and livelihood improvement of women and the enhancement of living conditions in impoverished tribal villages. With a broad vision of fostering an equal and just society, the NGO strives to enable vulnerable and marginalized communities to actively participate in their own social development, thereby gaining control over local resources. The mission is to promote gender equity and social justice, strengthen community articulation of needs, and assist in resource access and control. Major Interventions: Door To Door Waste Collection: The NGO has initiated a door-to-door waste collection program to address the pressing issue of garbage disposal in Udaipur district, Rajasthan. Recognizing the lack of a solid waste management project in the town, Adarsh’s efforts are aimed at transforming waste into a resource by managing it at the source. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, Adarsh Shiksha Samiti is working to alter harmful habits related to waste production, disposal, and perception, fostering communities in both rural and urban areas to manage their waste effectively. This initiative not only addresses environmental concerns but also promotes sustainable practices among the local population. Education - Nurturing Minds for a Brighter Future: It champions education as vital for societal progress and national development. Committed to ensuring universal access to quality education, the organization focuses on enhancing educational standards and promoting financial literacy to empower communities economically. This initiative reflects Adarsh's mission to nurture young minds and foster a self-reliant society poised for growth. Shaktidayini - A Centre for Women in Crisis aims to end violence against women through comprehensive support services. It provides emergency protection, medical assistance, counselling, and vocational training to empower survivors towards healing and economic independence. Legal aid supports their pursuit of justice, while public awareness campaigns promote societal change. This holistic approach empowers women, children, and girls, striving for a violence-free society. Capacity Building: Empowering rural communities to shape their own futures. Dedicated to fostering self-reliance and community ownership, the NGO engages deeply with local populations, encouraging active participation and leveraging community strengths. Adarsh strives to catalyse positive and enduring change, envisioning a future where empowered communities drive their own development and contribute to a sustainable society. Environment: Recognizing the profound impact of its activities on society and the environment, the NGO prioritizes addressing climate change and enhancing environmental conditions as essential elements of sustainable development. By actively promoting ecological responsibility and striving to minimize its environmental footprint, Adarsh integrates environmental stewardship into its broader mission of advancing community well-being. |
