Holistic approach towards environmental and human issues
Crisis: With crippling poverty and unemployment the marginalized sections of Telangana spend their days in chaos leading to alcoholism & drug addiction among men and youth, Violence against Women facing abuse and violence against children that in need of care and assistance. PES through its programs offers opportunities to victims to take part in their very own betterment and safety.
Programs: i) De-addiction center: Focuses on rehabilitation and treatment of addicts and set them free from addiction especially workers and college students. ii) ONE DISTRICT ONE PRODUCT: To set up clusters of businesses to produce similar products in different parts of Telangana. iii) Sakhi and Swadhar Greh: Providing support and redressal facilities and envisioning a supportive institutional framework for women victims of difficult circumstances so that they could lead their life with dignity and conviction. Iv) Child Helpline 1098: Respond to the emergency needs of children and also link them to relevant services for their long-term care and rehabilitation. V) Environmental Programs: Programs like Saaf Hyderabad Shaandar Hyderabad, World Environment Day and Water Leadership & Conservation are conducted to create awareness.
Outcome: 1) Deaddiction center treated 101 addicts. 2) Successfully rehabilitated 2000 women victims of Domestic Violence. 3) Offered care and protection to 350+ children across the Jagtial district.
