Tears Foundation was founded in 2012 to primarily improve standard of living for people with a physical disability or mental illness and create an equal society for all. The Foundation mainly operates for children in the slums of Mumbai
Programs: The organization is running two flagship projects - i) Mid-Day Meals: Tears Foundation provides food packets or mid-day meals to children living on the streets, orphans or anyone suffering from malnutrition. ii) Swacch Bharat Abhiyan: This project is being funded by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai where the NGO helps employ and provide add on facilities pavement dwellers or youth living in the slums to work under the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India) scheme.
Tears Foundation also supports beneficiaries with medical and legal aid especially to women and children, counselling and rehabilitation, education, livelihood training, etc.
