A Small Step Can Make a Big Difference

• Crisis: In backward villages of Rajasthan there is still a lack of primary resources and awareness with regards to education for girl child, skill development for women, menstrual hygiene and sanitation. PraveenLata Sansthan (PLS) focuses on social, economic and behavioral transformation of women and girls from rural communities in Rajasthan.
• Program: 1) Education: a) Project Laadli, remedial after school education program for girls helping dropout girls. b) Project Mahatva: Community school in slums for children involved in child labor and begging aiming to help them in education. 2) Skill Development: Titli - training girls and women for life skills, soft skills, financial inclusion and skills required for entrepreneurship. 3) Health: Spotless Dame program aims to create awareness about menstruation hygiene management, provide free medical checkups and eco-friendly sanitary napkins. FOOD STEPS - nutritional kit supplement & cooked meal distribution drive for pregnant & malnourished children. 4) Safety: a) MISSION JAGRITI - capacity building on safety awareness for girls & women. b) RESPECT SHE - capacity building program for boys on safety of girls. 5) COVID relief & disaster management.
• Outcome: So far, 15,319 beneficiaries impacted under Education; 1080+ girls benefitted and trained under Skill Development; 321 workshops conducted supporting 56,075+ direct beneficiaries under Health. 151,232 disposable pads and 34,018 cloth pads were distributed to the identified beneficiaries.
