"HelpYourNGO (HYNGO) has been set up with the goal of promoting transparency in the social sector and helping donors make donation decisions in an enlightened, strategic and impactful manner.

HYNGO is the only organization in India standardizing detailed financial and program information on 650+ NGOs across 504 zip-codes and 13 sectors. We recommend NGOs to donors (corporates, foundations, trusts, individuals) which match their unique requirements, and also monitor the fund utilization for them. We make an effort to identify relatively smaller and mid-sized NGOs which meet the highest standard of credibility and run efficient programs but having lesser visibility than the popular NGOs.

Our USP:

• Standardizing financial information of NGOs irrespective of the formats in which their financial statements are presented and the Act under which they are registered. Financial Notes are also displayed on each NGO page highlighting unusual variances and explaining adjustments made, if any.
• % Spend on beneficiaries: Our team of analysts studies the NGOs’ financials to arrive at ratios, variances, and the % spend on beneficiaries. This % is the proportion of direct program expenses to total expenditure for the latest financial year, indicating the total direct spend on beneficiaries.
