Helping sex workers and their children rebuild their lives
Snehalaya helps trafficked women and children by removing them from horrific and life-threatening situations. Thanks to their work there are no minor girls working in the sex industry in their district of Ahmednagar. They provide shelter to women and children escaping the sex trade, medical services for those affected by HIV, and education and vocational training. They serve over 25,000 women and children each year, and have also found homes for over 500 abandoned babies through their adoption centre.
