Activities of ASVSS:

1) Livelihood Sustainability: Since inception, ASVSS has awarded 1,200 acres of land to 22 villages. It has helped 240 farmers through natural farming cultivation. ASVSS has a started community learning centre with high quality resources. It has helped to form 22 farmers’ forums (Krishi Panchayat) in Sangola block. ASVSS has also empowered women to fight for their own property (land & house) rights.

2) Education: With financial help from American Indian Foundation, ASVSS has opened a hostel for children from migrant or poor families. The hostel has room for around 25-30 children. Besides providing education support to migrant children and enhancing their learning habits, ASVSS also supports the ‘Right to Education’, advocating the right to education for each and every child.

3) Anubhav Shiksha Kendra: ASVSS plays a vital role for youngsters by giving job related training in western Maharashtra. It has trained more than 2,000 youth members belonging to the Maharashtra Yuva Parishad. ASVSS also provides agribusiness training at its centre in Solapur district.

4) Other activities include We Can Campaign which strives to end violence against women and gender discrimination. Around 15,000 benefitted from this drive; helping Dalit women to form Self-Help Groups with the objective of creating women entrepreneurs and enhancing women’s development.
