Antarang Foundation is a youth-centric NGO committed to creating systemic change in India’s education-to-employment landscape. Founded on the belief that every young person deserves the chance to pursue a meaningful career, Antarang envisions a world where students from all socio-economic backgrounds are empowered with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to transition into aspirational livelihoods.

Major Interventions:

CareerAware (Grades 9 and 10): This foundational program introduces students to self-awareness and career awareness. Through structured sessions, students explore their interests, aptitudes, and realities, and are exposed to a wide range of career options across industries. In Grade 9, students begin to draft individualised career plans, while in Grade 10, they refine their plans and receive transition support through one-on-one counselling sessions with facilitators and families.

CareeReady (Grades 11 and 12): CareeReady builds on the earlier stages by preparing students for real-world experiences and employability. Grade 11 students participate in skill-building sessions, exposure visits, and projects that develop their workplace ethics and communication skills. In Grade 12, the focus shifts to finalising career plans and enabling transitions to higher education, vocational training, entrepreneurship, or employment, with support from trained career facilitators.

Transition Tracking and Alumni Engagement: Antarang ensures long-term impact by tracking student transitions beyond school. It maintains contact with alumni, many of whom serve as mentors and role models. Their journeys validate the effectiveness of the programs and inspire the next generation of students.

The Foundation partners with government bodies, NGOs, educators, and industries to embed career readiness into school curricula. Parents are actively involved through counselling and group sessions. Local industries provide exposure and job placements, while the government enables policy integration and scale-up.
