Shramik Bharti envisions sustainable living with equal opportunities for all. With a focus on marginalized communities, particularly women and children, it works to foster inclusive growth by creating democratic institutions, promoting self-reliance, and enhancing human capabilities. Major Interventions: Community-Based Organizations: Shramik Bharti nurtures self-help groups and federations that enable women to access credit, strengthen entrepreneurship, and build solidarity. Farmer-Producer Organizations bring together small and marginal farmers to collectively market and process agricultural produce. These platforms enhance bargaining power, generate income, and promote community-led sustainable farming systems. Natural Resource-Based Livelihoods: It actively promotes Avartansheel Kheti (cyclical farming), kitchen gardens, seed banks, and bio-input resource centers. These initiatives help farmers transition to natural farming, reduce dependence on chemicals, and preserve ecological balance. Model farms, small processing units, and agri-tool banks further strengthen local livelihoods and resilience. Allied activities such as goat rearing and poultry farming provide additional income and food security. Renewable Energy: Shramik Bharti integrates clean energy solutions in rural areas through solar electrification, biogas plants, and smokeless cookstoves. These initiatives improve living standards, reduce environmental degradation, and ensure access to sustainable energy for marginalized households. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH): It enhances community health by ensuring access to safe drinking water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene awareness. Through innovative financing models and women-led enterprises, rural and urban communities improve their resilience to waterborne diseases and environmental challenges. Overall Empowerment: Health interventions include community grain banks for food security, HIV prevention programs, and regular health camps. These efforts address both preventive and curative health needs, especially for vulnerable populations. It also strengthens government schools with infrastructure support and creative learning methods. The Khilti Kaliyan initiative supports girls in pursuing higher education and vocational training, empowering them to become independent leaders in their communities. |
