A comic book tries to change the dialogue on rape
Perhaps a comic book will succeed where few have before. Priya’s Shakti is an augmented reality comic book that tells the story of Priya, a rape victim. Priya is supported by Goddess Parvati in her quest to change mindsets about rape and the place of women in society. The project is an interesting confluence of art, technology and social mindsets. The ‘augmented reality’ aspect of the book means that readers with smartphones can scan the text to view video, images and special effects which are not available in print! A great example of virtual reality!
